This 6-story Chicago Italianate style building was originally used by the Parlin and Orendorff Implement Company, who sold agricultural implements.  The building was the only one in the city with a cast iron facade.  In 1928, Hall and Purse Co. became the main tenant, and the company later changes its name to the Purse & Company Wholesale Furniture.

After decades of vacancy and decline, the building had nearly been forgotten—until it was purchased in 2017 by Tanya Ragan, a visionary real estate investor and the owner of Wildcat Management. Where others saw neglect, Ragan saw possibility.

Under her leadership, Phase 1 of redevelopment began with meticulous care: uncovering the original hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, heavy timber beams, and restoring the soul of the building without erasing its past. The project was executed under historic tax credit guidelines and is now primed for adaptive reuse.
